  • Please note, Majors Managers will be present to watch all 12, 11, and 10-year olds.
  • AAA managers will be present to watch all 11, 10 and 9-year olds.
  • AA managers will be present to watch the 10, 9 and 8-year olds.
  • You will be contacted by your manager with your team assignment no later than Tuesday, March 5th.

If they meet the age requirements AND have played a spring season of a particular division, a player is eligible to advance and could be drafted to the next division. If there is any reason you would not be ok with this, please contact us. If you are unable to tryout, please contact the Player Agent, Jen Folgner at folgnerjm@gmail.com.

What to Bring

  • A glove, bat and helmet.
  • If you were unable to upload your proof of residency documents during registration, you will need to bring those.
  • If you do not have a USA approved bat or helmet, the League will have some available for you to use.
  • Baseball attire is recommended. Also, because we will be indoors, have your child wear tennis shoes.
  • Cleats will not be allowed on the indoor surface.
  • All players hoping to play in the AA, AAA, or Major Divisions must try out to be subject to the draft process.

If a Player Does Not Try Out

THEY WILL BE RANDOMLY ASSIGNED TO A TEAM BY DRAWING NAMES FROM A HAT. THIS DRAW WILL OCCUR AT THE IMMEDIATE END OF THE DRAFT WITH MANAGERS PRESENT. MANAGERS WILL NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO DRAFT THESE PLAYERS, BUT EACH PLAYER WILL BE ASSIGNED A TEAM.

Tryout Drills

Tryouts consist of four drills. The kids aren’t expected to be perfect, rather, the coaches are looking at general mechanics, swing and throw strength, throw accuracy, and general baseball IQ. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, coaches are assessing the kids’ attitude, their hustle, and any potential safety issues for the level the kid will potentially play.

1) Batting: 3-4 hitable pitches.
2) Field 3 ground balls at short stop with a throw to first base.
3) Field 3 fly balls in shallow left with throw to a cutoff.
4) Running from home to first base
